2. He remained skeptical even after seeing the evidence.（証拠を見た後でも、彼は疑っていた。）

So basically when you are skeptical you are not really trusting anything or anyone and your mind is constantly asking “Is this true?” “It better not be a lie!!” But thinking positively you are being cautious making decisions!!
