In this one we’re going to go over the phrase “I was wondering if…”.
この動画では”I was wondering if…”のフレーズをやります。
So the meaning of this phrases…
このフレーズの意味は…
So there’s a word wonder in it
この中にはwonderという言葉が入っているので
so it’s kind of like I’m always thinking about, it it’s always in my mind
いつも考えているなぁ、頭にいつもあるんだよなぁ、っていう感じかなって思います。
And you might wonder why does it say “was”, not “am”, why is it past tense?
そして、みなさん不思議に思われるかもしれません、なぜ”was”なの？”am”じゃないの？過去形なのっと。
And to answer that even the native speakers don’t know why we don’t even think about it.
そしてそれへの答えは、ネイティブスピーカーもなぜかは、知りません、考えもしません。
It’s just waste of time trying to figure it out why.
どうしてかを悩んでいる方が時間の無駄になってしまいます。
And our time is ticking, so let’s not waste our time and move on to the phrases.
